’ asynchronous multiplayer encourages you to cooperate with others and make discoveries. Dying in a temple results in temporarily losing your equipped whip and any treasure accumulated during the run, but they can be salvaged. It gets very fast. Some people say that if it is turning it moves slower. As far as I have seen, by the end of the caverns, it will pretty much not be falling behind and will overtake you even if you are running, so you take your headstart and keep running to finish levels after that.
